North Harbour Auto team

At North Harbour Auto our story is one of dedication, growth, and a deep commitment to our customers.

It all began in 1999 when Greg, just 25 years old at the time, teamed up with his business partner Steve to launch a specialised auto electrical and air conditioning workshop on Auckland’s North Shore. Their passion for quality service and strong local ties led to the opening of a second location just two years later — North Harbour Auto Service, focused on mechanical repairs.

By 2004, the business naturally evolved, with Greg and Steve each taking the reins of one workshop. In 2012, Greg expanded his original business to offer in-house mechanical services alongside auto air and electrical, providing customers with a full-service experience under one roof.

When Steve retired in 2019, Greg brought both businesses back together, merging their customer bases, phone lines, and shared legacy into a single, united team.

During the Covid years, Greg’s wife Cath joined the business, reinforcing the family-first values we’re proud of. Today, North Harbour Auto is home to a loyal, talented, long-standing team — including team members who’ve been with us for over 20 years. With experienced auto electricians, air conditioning specialists, and a full mechanical crew, we’ve built a reputation for reliable workmanship, honest advice, and excellent service.

From our humble beginnings to now, we’ve continued to grow — not just in size, but in the trust and loyalty of our customers.
